Decadron (Dexamethasone)

Decadron (Dexamethasone)

Decadron, a corticosteroid drug, is used to reduce inflammation and relieve symptoms in a variety of disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis and severe cases of asthma. It may be given to people to treat primary or secondary adrenal cortex insufficiency (lack of sufficient adrenal hormone). It is also given to help treat the following disorders:

Severe allergic conditions such as drug-induced allergies
Blood disorders such as various anemias
Certain cancers (along with other drugs)
Skin diseases such as severe psoriasis
Collagen (connective tissue) diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus
Digestive tract disease such as ulcerative colitis
High serum levels of calcium associated with cancer
Fluid retention due to nephrotic syndrome (a condition in which damage to the kidneys causes the body to lose protein in the urine)
Eye diseases such as allergic conjunctivitis
Lung diseases such as tuberculosis (along with other drugs)

Most important fact about Decadron Tablets

Decadron lowers your resistance to infections and can make them harder to treat. Decadron may also mask some of the signs of an infection, making it difficult for your doctor to diagnose the actual problem.

How should you take Decadron Tablets?

Decadron should be taken exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

If you are taking large doses, your doctor may advise you to take Decadron with meals and to take antacids between meals, to prevent a peptic ulcer from developing.

Check with your doctor before stopping Decadron abruptly. If you have been taking the drug for a long time, you may need to reduce your dose gradually over a period of days or weeks.

The lowest possible dose should always be used, and as symptoms subside, dosage should be reduced gradually.

–If you miss a dose…

Take the forgotten dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never try to “catch up” by doubling the dose.

What side effects may occur?

Side effects cannot be anticipated. If any develop or change in intensity, inform your doctor as soon as possible. Only your doctor can determine if it is safe for you to continue taking Decadron.

  • More common side effects may include:
Abdominal distention, allergic reactions, blood clots, bone fractures and degeneration, bruises, cataracts, congestive heart failure, convulsions, “cushingoid” symptoms (moon face, weight gain, high blood pressure, emotional disturbances, growth of facial hair in women), excessive hairiness, fluid and salt retention, general feeling of illness, glaucoma, headache, hiccups, high blood pressure, high blood sugar, hives, increased appetite, increased eye pressure, increased pressure in head, increased sweating, increases in amounts of insulin or hypoglycemic medications needed in diabetes, inflammation of the esophagus, inflammation of the pancreas, irregular menstruation, loss of muscle mass, low potassium levels in blood (leading to symptoms such as dry mouth, excessive thirst, weak or irregular heartbeat, and muscle pain or cramps), muscle weakness, nausea, osteoporosis, peptic ulcer, perforated small and large bowel, poor healing of wounds, protruding eyeballs, suppression of growth in children, thin skin, tiny red or purplish spots on the skin, torn tendons, vertigo, weight gain

Special information if you are pregnant or breastfeeding

The effects of Decadron during pregnancy have not been adequately studied. If you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Infants born to mothers who have taken substantial doses of corticosteroids during pregnancy should be carefully watched for adrenal problems. Corticosteroids appear in breast milk and can suppress growth in infants. If Decadron is essential to your health, your doctor may advise you to stop breastfeeding until your treatment with Decadron is finished.

Recommended dosage

ADULTS

Your doctor will tailor your individual dose to the condition being treated. Initial doses range from 0.75 milligram to 9 milligrams a day.

After the drug produces a satisfactory response, your doctor will gradually lower the dose to the minimum effective level.

Overdosage

Reports of overdose with this medication are rare. However, if you suspect an overdose, seek medical treatment immediately.

High Absorption Magnesium

Magnesium is a dietary mineral with a wide array of biological activities in the body. Magnesium participates in numerous life-essential processes that occur both inside and outside cells. Magnesium deficiency impacts normal physiologic function on many levels. Adequate magnesium is a fundamental requirement for optimum function of the cardiovascular system, the nervous system and skeletal muscle, as well as the uterus and GI tract. Magnesium deficiency can affect health of the heart, bones and blood vessels and alter blood sugar balance.

As an essential dietary mineral, magnesium plays many important roles, including:

  • Acts as a co-factor for metabolic enzymes.
  • Assists energy production in cells.
  • Supports nerve and muscle function.
  • Helps maintain a normal, regular heartbeat.
  • Supports bone density.

How Taken

As a dietary supplement, take two pills two times per day, between meals.

Drug Class and Mechanism

Magnesium can reduce tiredness, improve moods, relieve insomnia, asthma and migraines and help pre-menstrual problems. It is used by the medical profession to counteract irregular heart beats (arrhythmia).

Magnesium plays a vital role in the formation of bones and teeth. It is also involved with transmitting nerve signals and causing muscle contractions. Magnesium helps the body process fat and protein, and is important for the secretion of parathyroid hormones. Magnesium helps the smooth muscle surrounding the lung to relax.

> What is HGH?

Human Growth Hormone Agent

Human Growth Agent is a revolutionary formula of bioidentical hormones designed for natural anti aging therapy. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is the most abundant hormone produced by one of the endocrine glands: the pituitary gland. This gland is located in the center of the brain. HGH is also a very complex hormone. It is made up of 191 amino acids – making it fairly large for a hormone. In fact, it is the largest protein created by the pituitary gland.HGH secretion reaches its peak in the body during adolescence. This makes sense because bioidentical hormones helps stimulate our body to grow. But, growth hormones secretion does not stop after adolescence. Our body continue to produce growth hormones usually in short bursts during deep sleep. As we get older our body produces less amounts of growth hormone. Human Growth Agent is designed to help your body naturally increase it’s own levels of HGH. Increased levels of growth hormones can assist in weightloss and muscle gain. HGH can also increase your energy level and may assist sexual performance and endurance.

Human Growth Hormone is known to be critical for tissue repair, muscle growth, healing, brain function, physical and mental health, bone strength, energy and metabolism. In short, it is very important to just about every aspect of our life!

>HGH Review

HGH Human Growth Hormone and Women

In general, menopause could start as early as after 30 years old or as late as over 60 years old. The regular function of ovaries will gradually disappear. The supply of female hormone will also decrease to the lowest point. The physical change occurs to most female during age 46 to 56. The average age for menopause is 51. The lower level of hormone will result in the changes of the human body. The most apparent symptoms are irregular cycle or lesser volume during the menstruation, or it comes to a complete stop. The menopause is confirmed after one full year of the discontinuation of female menstruation. It is always the case that every woman will face the menopause before 70 years old.

HGH Human Growth Hormone and Men

If middle-aged males start showing symptoms of irritability or falling asleep while watching TV, it is a sign of bodily hormonal changes. In the past, very few people are aware of this link or they just do not want to admit it. However, modern medical doctors are telling us not to doubt any more that hormonal change in middle-aged males is a fact.

A decrease in male hormone secretion can cause symptoms of irritability, depression, moodiness and loss of sexual interests. Physically, patients may feel tired easily, lacking energy, and falling asleep while watching TV. Usually, they do not notice these symptoms themselves. It is their spouses who become alerted. Besides a decline in physical strengths, patients will also experience bone fragility, joint pain, sore muscles and heart problems. Hormonal changes are not as universally recognized in middle-aged males as in females, mainly because the symptoms in males do not occur suddenly around age 49 as in many females. The decrease in hormone production in males takes place gradually over several years. Sometimes it can happen to males as young as 35 years old.

HGH is the fountain of youth that helps restore health and vitality. It can help males rebuild muscles, improve sexual potency and interests and improve the immune systems. It can also strengthen cardiovascular and pulmonary functions and heal the damage caused by stress. In the meantime, it can stabilize one’s emotion, improve memory and thinking process, increase skin elasticity, eliminate wrinkles, reshape body, strengthen kidney functions and increase bone density. Growth Hormone promotes liver’s secretion of growth factor IGF-1 and revitalizes cells and organs to return to their original conditions. Growth Hormone is the ultimate hormone secreted by the pituitary gland. It is closely associated with the production of male hormones.
